Amazon FBM Support
Fulfil it yourself, without doing it yourself.
FBM keeps the things worth keeping. Your packaging, your customer data, your margin. What it also does is put Amazon’s performance metrics directly on your dispatch times, which is a comfortable trade at home and a much harder one from four thousand miles away. We ship your merchant-fulfilled orders from stock already sitting in the UK and the EU, inside the window, so the model keeps its advantages and your account health stays where it should.
In short
Expandly fulfils merchant-fulfilled Amazon orders from stock held in the UK and the Netherlands, dispatching to an agreed service level with on-time in-full performance consistently above 99%. Shipping from in-market inventory protects the three metrics Amazon measures on FBM sellers: Order Defect Rate, which Amazon requires to stay below 1%, Late Shipment Rate and Pre-Fulfilment Cancellation Rate. FBA and FBM orders can run from the same pool of stock.
- Dispatched from UK and EU stock, not from home
- Order processing to an agreed service level
- On-time in-full consistently above 99%
- Your packaging and your customer, kept
What is being measured
Amazon is scoring you while you sell
On FBM the performance risk sits with the seller. Amazon watches how quickly orders are dispatched, how often they are cancelled before fulfilment, and how many end in a defect. Those numbers decide your account health, and account health decides whether you are selling next month.
Shipping from in-market stock takes most of that risk off the table, because the transit time stops being the variable. Orders are picked and dispatched to the service level agreed at onboarding, and performance flows back into your reporting rather than arriving as a surprise in Seller Central.

Order Defect Rate
Amazon requires this to stay below 1%. It is driven by negative feedback, A-to-Z claims and chargebacks, and late or wrong deliveries are what feed all three.
Late Shipment Rate
The metric most exposed by long-distance fulfilment, and the one that in-market stock fixes outright rather than improves.
Pre-Fulfilment Cancellation Rate
Usually a stock accuracy problem rather than a warehouse one. Live inventory sync across your channels is what keeps it near zero.
How it runs
What you get on an FBM order
Stock in the market you are selling to
A German FBM order ships from the Netherlands. A UK order ships from the UK. The delivery promise you make at listing level is one you can keep every time rather than most of the time.
Warehouses in the UK, the Netherlands and the US.
One stock pool across every channel
Your FBM inventory is the same inventory serving your own site and your other marketplaces, with levels syncing back as orders land. FBA and FBM positions stay separate where they need to, so an FBA sale does not quietly deduct from an FBM listing.
Amazon, eBay, Etsy, OnBuy, Shopify, WooCommerce and more.
Buy Shipping where it helps you
The platform connects to Amazon Buy Shipping directly, alongside other carrier integrations. Buying the label through Amazon is what protects a seller against a late-delivery claim, and it happens as part of the dispatch rather than as a separate job.
Plus Royal Mail, DPD Local and wider carrier coverage.
You get told before you run out
Low stock thresholds are set per product and alert you when a line needs replenishing. On FBM an out-of-stock listing is a cancellation waiting to happen, so the warning matters more here than almost anywhere else.
Triggers and alerts on stock, deadlines and trading events.
Choosing a model
FBM, FBA, or both at once
These are not competing choices, and they are not a one-time decision either. FBA suits your ranked, fast-moving lines where Prime placement does the selling. FBM suits the long tail, the oversized items, the bundles Amazon prices badly, and anything where you want the customer relationship and the packaging to stay yours.
Because both draw on one pool of stock in one building, you can move a line from one model to the other without a new supplier, a new integration or a new conversation about rates. If Seller Fulfilled Prime is somewhere you want to get to, that is worth talking through early, because the dispatch standard it asks for shapes how the account is set up.
Questions
Common questions on merchant fulfilment
Which Amazon metrics does FBM put at risk?
Three in particular. Order Defect Rate, which Amazon requires to stay below 1% and which is fed by negative feedback, A-to-Z claims and chargebacks. Late Shipment Rate, which is the one most exposed by long-distance fulfilment. Pre-Fulfilment Cancellation Rate, which is usually caused by stock records disagreeing with reality rather than by anything the warehouse did.
How quickly are FBM orders dispatched?
To the service level agreed with you at onboarding, which sets processing times and dispatch schedules. Our on-time in-full performance runs consistently above 99% and reaches 100% in many weeks. Because the stock is already in the market the order is going to, transit time stops being the variable it is when you ship from home.
Can I run FBA and FBM from the same stock?
Yes, and it is usually the sensible setup. Both draw on one pool of inventory in one building, so you can move a line between models without a new supplier or a new integration. The platform keeps the two positions separate where they need to be, so an FBA sale does not quietly deduct stock from an FBM listing.
Do you support Seller Fulfilled Prime?
Seller Fulfilled Prime carries its own dispatch and delivery standards, and they shape how an account is configured from the start. If it is somewhere you want to get to, it is worth raising early rather than retrofitting later. Ask us how it would work for your products and markets.
Who owns the customer on an FBM order?
You do, and that is most of the reason to run FBM. Your packaging, your inserts, your presentation and your relationship with the buyer. We fulfil the order to your specification rather than to a standard one, which is the trade you are making when you choose merchant fulfilment over FBA.

Most brands we work with are moving stock from the US into the UK and EU, so those two buildings do the heavy lifting here. Expansion runs the other way as well. If you are a UK or European brand looking at America, our US warehouse does the same job in reverse.
