Expansion Walkthrough

See the system your European operation would run on

Thirty minutes with a senior expansion consultant, inside a live Expandly demo account. It illustrates how the platform would work for your brand, your category and the markets you have in mind, rather than a generic tour. You leave with a clear read on your first market, your timeline and what it would cost.

Bring the questions you have not been able to get answered anywhere else. Thirty minutes is enough to answer them properly.

Pick a time

Times shown in your local time zone. Tell us a little about your brand so the consultant arrives prepared and every one of the 30 minutes goes on your situation.

Anything specific to cover in the call? (optional)

We'll walk you through the realistic steps involved in expanding your brand, and answer your burning questions. You'll leave knowing what's ahead and whether working with Expandly is right for you.

You will get a calendar invite straight away with the joining link and the agenda. Reschedule any time from the invite.

In Plain Terms

An Expansion Walkthrough is a 30-minute video call where a senior consultant takes you inside a live Expandly demo account, showing how it would work for your brand, your category and the markets you are considering, then talks through what your expansion would involve, how long it would take and what it would cost. It is also where we work out together whether we are the right partner for your next stage of growth.

What Happens On The Call

Four parts, in this order

The consultant will have looked at your site before you speak, so none of the time goes on background you have already given us.

To start

Where you are now

What you sell, where your European orders are already coming from and how you are servicing them today. Short, because the consultant will have read your site beforehand. Most brands we speak to are already shipping internationally and feeling the cost of it.

Then

Inside the platform, live

The main part of the call, and the reason most people book it. We open a real demo account and drive it live, using your markets and category as the worked example: the compliance that would apply to your products, orders and stock moving through, and the reporting your team would run the operation from. Ask anything as we go, including the things you would only find out three months in.

After that

Your sequence and timeline

Which market to open first and why, what has to happen before your first shipment, and where the long lead times sit. Tax registration alone runs from around three weeks to several months depending on the country, so this is usually the part people remember.

To finish

Fit, cost and next steps

Which level of support suits how you like to work, what that costs, and what a sensible first step looks like. You finish the call knowing what happens next and when.

What You Leave With

Four things you did not have before the call

Whether or not you go any further with us. Every call ends with you knowing more about your own expansion than when it started.

01

A real look at the system you would run

A live demo account, worked through with your category and markets as the example, so you know what your team would be using every day. You also get the compliance read that goes with it: whether you need a Responsible Person, which packaging and product schemes catch you, and whether anything in your range would be blocked.

02

A realistic timeline

How long from a decision to your first order shipping locally, with the slow items named. You can plan a marketing budget around a real date. Most brands are surprised by which parts are quick and which are not.

03

A cost indication you can take to your board

What the right level of support looks like for a brand your size, what it costs per month in GBP, and what sits inside that versus what is extra. Numbers you can work with on the call, confirmed in writing afterwards.

04

A straight answer on fit

A clear view on whether now is the right moment for your brand, and what would need to be true before you start. We work with brands for years rather than months, so getting that judgement right in the first conversation matters to both of us.

Who this is for, and who it is not

Worth being direct about, so we can both make the 30 minutes count.

Book It If This Sounds Like You

You do not need to have chosen a market, and you do not need a budget approved. Plenty of the brands we talk to are still building the case internally.

Probably Not Yet If

If one of these sounds like you, say so when you book. We can often point you somewhere better suited for now, and pick the conversation up when the timing is right.

Expansion is most successful for brands at the right stage. Getting that judgement right in the first conversation is what makes the next three years work.

Before We Speak

A few things make the call much more useful

Bring what you have. Anything you cannot lay your hands on, we can work around on the call.

A rough sense of your European demand

Even approximate. Orders per month, the countries they come from, or the traffic you see from Europe. It changes which market we would suggest opening first.

A product or two you are unsure about

The item you suspect is complicated. A supplement, something electrical, a cosmetic, anything for children. We can read the requirements live on the call.

Whoever else needs convincing

Bring your operations or finance lead. It saves you relaying the answers second-hand, and the questions they ask are usually the ones that matter.

If you have already used our expansion snapshot tool, the consultant will have your results in front of them and will pick the demo up from there rather than starting again.

After You Book

Everything Set Up So

The 30 Minutes Counts

A short call only works if the preparation is done around it. Here is how it runs from the moment you book.

Straight away

A calendar invite with the joining link, the agenda above and the two prep items. Reschedule from the invite whenever you need.

The day before

A reminder with the time in your own time zone and the joining link, so it is one click on the day.

On the call

One consultant, occasionally two if your category needs a compliance specialist. Most of it is spent inside a live demo account, worked through against your markets and category, and we can record it so you can pass it to your team.

Afterwards

A written summary of what we covered, the timeline and the cost indication, along with the expansion material relevant to your category. Yours to circulate internally.

Behind The Conversation
2,000+

Brands taken into UK and European markets. The consultant you speak to is drawing on those launches, not a script.

Why The Timeline Matters
3 weeks to 12 months

The range on tax registration alone, depending on the country. Knowing which end you are facing changes your whole launch plan, and it is the single most common thing brands get wrong.

One Team

Tax, product compliance, warehousing and channel operations all sit inside our business. The person on the call can answer for all four rather than checking with a supplier.

Before You Ask

Three questions we get every time

What should I expect?

A working session rather than a presentation. Most of the time is spent inside a live Expandly demo account, using your own markets and products as the worked example, and you ask whatever you want as you go. We are a business and we would like yours, so you will also get a clear picture of how we would work together and what it costs. Most of the time goes on your brand rather than on ours.

Will you show me actual pricing?

Yes. You get a monthly figure in GBP for the level of support that suits your size, and a clear line between what is included and what is extra. Our prices are published, so if you want the numbers before you book, the pricing page has them. What the call adds is which level actually fits you and what your first year would really involve.

I do not know which market to enter yet. Is it too early?

No, that is one of the better reasons to talk. Choosing the first market is the decision that shapes your logistics, your cash flow and your compliance workload for everything after it, and it is the one most brands make on a hunch. Come with the question rather than the answer.
