UK goods export volumes to the EU rose 7.2% in July 2026 while non-EU volumes were flat, pointing to European demand.

UK goods export volumes rose 3.5 per cent in July 2026, driven almost entirely by a 7.2 per cent rise in EU-bound volumes while non-EU volumes stayed flat. European demand is not the constraint on cross-border trade. Cost and process are.
