    • Amazon FBA Support

Amazon handed prep work back to sellers, and the consequences of getting it wrong land on you rather than on them. A carton that arrives wrong gets refused, refused stock sits somewhere earning nothing, and a launch date moves.

      Amazon FBM Support

FBM keeps the things worth keeping. Your packaging, customer data & margin. It also puts Amazon’s performance metrics directly on your dispatch times, which is a comfortable trade at home and a much harder one from four thousand miles away.

      Direct-to-Consumer Fulfilment

On a marketplace, a slow delivery is the marketplace’s fault. On your own store it is yours. The box that arrives, the day it arrives and how easy it is to send back are all part of what someone bought, and they decide whether a first order becomes a second one.

      Returns, Reworks & Recycling

Treated as a cost, a return is written off twice, once on the refund and again on the unit. Treated as inventory, a lot of it goes back on sale. What decides which of those happens is how quickly the unit gets looked at and how far it had to travel to be looked at.

      Warehouse Location

Stock held inside the market it sells into arrives as a domestic delivery. No customs event on the order, and nothing for your customer to settle before the courier hands the parcel over. Ours sits in the UK, the Netherlands and the US, which covers...

TikTok Shop’s US Enforcement Changes Are Already Live

Four policy changes took effect between 28 July and 17 August 2026, and TikTok Shop confirmed them in a digest published on 10 September 2026.

In This Article

01 The four changes, and their dates
02 What account health now measures
03 The electronics restriction explained
04 Why Europe follows the same pattern
05 Four checks to run today

Key Takeaways

► Four enforcement changes are already in force
► Account health scoring widened on 17 August 2026
► Certain foreign-made electronics are restricted by FCC rules
► Platform scrutiny now covers fulfilment, not just listings

If you sell on TikTok Shop in the US, four enforcement changes are already applying to your account. The platform's own September policy digest, published on 10 September 2026, confirms a cluster of rules that took effect between 28 July and 17 August 2026. None of them were announced with much noise, and all of them are live.

Account Health Rating scoring expanded to new violation types on 17 August 2026, which widens the set of behaviours that can pull a seller's standing down. Enforcement against orders shipped to unauthorised, unverified or residential addresses began on 5 August 2026. The electronics restriction, driven by the US Federal Communications Commission, landed on 28 July 2026 and covers certain foreign-made covered electronic products. New Creator-side prohibited behaviour and high-risk regulated goods policies also launched in August 2026.

Read together, these say something useful about where social commerce platforms are heading. The rules are no longer about what you list. They are about how your account behaves, where your parcels go and who is talking about your products. A seller with clean listings and a messy fulfilment trail is now exposed in a way they were not before.

There is a read-across for brands planning Europe. The same pattern is arriving there through regulation rather than platform policy, and it is arriving harder. Electronics face conformity and producer responsibility requirements before a listing goes live at all. Address and consignment data is becoming a customs matter, not just a platform one. A brand that builds clean seller operations for a US platform is building the habit it will need for the European regime anyway.

The practical point is that these changes were not flagged in advance and your account is already being scored against them.

  • Review your Account Health Rating against the violation types added on 17 August 2026.
  • Audit where orders are actually being shipped, because unverified and residential destinations are now enforced against.
  • If you sell electronics, confirm whether the FCC restriction touches any of your listings.
  • Check what your creators are saying, because Creator-side policies now carry enforcement too.

The bigger picture

Platform Enforcement Tightens Quietly Europe Asks Sooner and Harder

TikTok Shop enforcing new account health, address and electronics rules across July and August 2026 shows how quickly channel eligibility can change under a seller. In Europe the same scrutiny arrives earlier, because conformity evidence, producer responsibility registration and a named responsible party are conditions of listing rather than reasons for a later suspension. Expandly's onboarding is compliance-first, and for an electronics brand the first step is a product compliance and conformity review that establishes what each market and channel will demand before anything is listed. Handling it in that order means a channel change never catches your catalogue unprepared.

  • An FCC-driven restriction on certain foreign-made covered electronic products took effect on 28 July 2026 on the TikTok Shop US marketplace
  • Expandly audits products against applicable directives and handles marketplace setup for each European channel in one engagement
  • A listing pulled for missing conformity evidence takes the advertising spend behind it with no route to recovery

Where European Shopping Starts

Just over a third of European consumers begin a shopping journey on a marketplace, and that share is falling as social platforms and AI assistants take ground. Channel mix in Europe is shifting under brands right now.

FCC Electronics Restriction

TikTok Shop applies a restriction on the sale of certain foreign-made covered electronic products, driven by US Federal Communications Commission rules. For an electronics brand it is an eligibility question that has to be answered before listing, not after.
